To top it off, IRI cultivates an aura of intellectual superiority around them, as carefully as the farmer cultivates his crop, the sculptor grips the stone, the artisan crafts his art. That aura of cultivated intellectual superiority is heavily sprinkled with doses of moral supremacy, which leads them to either entirely ignore genuine criticism or project malice into it. As is the wont of intellectuals across the board, the IRI earnestly believes that only he has the right to criticize everyone else and any criticism that is directed at him, it could only be the result of malevolence or ignorance, or both.
