Savitri Era: The central issue is following The Mother & Sri Aurobindo savitriera.blogspot.com/2023/02/the-ce Tweets in original by Tusar Nath Mohapatra (b. 1956), Director, Savitri Era Learning Forum (2005), Founder, Savitri Era Religion (2006), and President, Savitri Era Party (2007). #Feb21
Save the date, 28th February. This promises to be an exciting discussion on a book everyone should read (am doing so!)
#BetweeopeandDespair Many feel being constantly being judged for doing ‘something wrong’: you are bad because wearing the wrong kind of dress, meeting the wrong person, not putting in effort out of laziness. For them, the term ‘judgement’ is laden with oppressive misrecognition.
So, it is true that judgements of good or bad and right or wrong are easily corrupted by wealth, fame and, most of all, power. This is why a judgement pronounced from the pulpit or the throne should be taken with a pinch of salt.
To a large extent, it is not truth we receive from others but a lie propelled by self-interest, power and status. But the lesson to be learnt from this is not that we shouldn't be passing judgements at all but that we should not allow power, wealth or fame to contaminate them.
#BetweenHopeandDespair Though necessary, making value judgements is fraught with danger today in a public domain that has an excess of fierce negative value judgements about others and fanciful postive judgements about ourselves-pronounced instantly, bereft of understanding.
Wonderful moment—Dr Harsha Dehejia & Dr Sudha Dehejia with ⁦⁩ ⁦⁩ presenting Harsha-Bhai’s book, ‘The Beautifully Indian Hindu Mind.’ An illustrated & aesthetic treasure indeed!
Richly deserved; congratulations Meenakshi-ji. For those who haven't read her book, "Flight of the Deities," it is the finest, best-researched history of our great temples & their deities--from Multan to Madurai. Please get a copy!
